Data shows that the COD concentration in initial rainwater is 242-499 mg/L, SS is 127.6-324 mg/L, TN is 30.3-54.5 mg/L, and TP is 2.3-3.86 mg/L, exceeding the first-level standard in the Comprehensive Sewage Discharge Standard (GB8978-1996).
Overall, the path to governing initial rainwater remains a long and arduous task. Against this backdrop, it has become an industry consensus that stormwater management should shift from "end-of-pipe treatment" to "source control and smart collaboration."

To help cities better address stormwater challenges, Flangco Water has proposed a comprehensive urban stormwater management solution that introduces a radar rain measurement + intelligent scheduling scheme. Different from traditional measurement methods, radar rain measurement starts counting rainfall during the precipitation stage, sends data to terminal control equipment before surface water accumulation occurs, and pre-allocates underground redundant space to formulate response strategies before flood disasters happen.
This solution covers seven major components: intelligent interception, stormwater storage and regulation, pipeline dredging, overflow pollution control, sealing systems, integrated devices, and large-flow flood control pumps.
1. Intelligent interception
Based on the design of rain-sewage diversion wells, the solution is equipped with high-precision radar level gauges and bidirectional calibration rain gauges to achieve precise pollution interception and automated operation. Combined with AI algorithms and real-time databases, it also has functions such as pollution early warning.
2. Stormwater storage and regulation
At the end of the pipeline network, sewage interception and storage tanks are set up to temporarily store combined sewage and initial rainwater, reduce overflow pollution, and protect the ecology of the receiving water bodies.
3. Dredging of pipe network
An innovative "four-stage" flushing mode is adopted, which requires no external water source and supports three control methods: automatic, manual, and remote. It flexibly adapts to on-site needs, making pipeline dredging more efficient.
4. Overflow Pollution Control
Through the three-stage management of "early closure, mid-discharge, and emergency discharge", pollutants are accurately intercepted to ensure rain-sewage diversion. It also enables rapid flood discharge under extreme weather conditions, safeguarding urban safety.
5. Sealing system
It is "invisibly" installed at the entrance of underground facilities with zero protrusion on the ground, achieving both safety and aesthetics.
6. Integrated device
By integrating data from rain gauges, level gauges, and turbidity meters, it can intelligently determine the rainfall stage, achieve precise diversion of sewage and rainwater, and reduce the load on the sewage network.
