Many regions such as the Malay Archipelago, areas around Bangkok, and the Philippines are frequently affected by heavy rains, causing frequent occurrences of urban waterlogging.

On June 23, 2025, the Singapore International Water Treatment Exhibition (SIWW) grandly opened at the Singapore Expo Center. The theme is "Flood-Resistant Cities: Adapting to Climate Change". The Flangco Water Affairs Delegation deeply participated in this exhibition, committed to providing full-process support for water supply stability and water pollution treatment in Southeast Asia through exchanges and cooperation, and helping the region respond to water use challenges under climate crises.

It is reported that this exhibition is hosted by the Public Utilities Board (PUB) of Singapore. As a benchmark event in the Asian water industry, the exhibition focuses on three core areas: water treatment and technology, urban solutions, and environmental solutions. The exhibits cover cutting-edge fields such as seawater desalination, climate change and flood control, intelligent water affairs systems, and rainwater harvesting technology, building an international platform for technological exchanges and cooperation for the industry.

The Delegation Discusses Cooperation Opportunities with Exhibiting Enterprises

During the exhibition, the Flangco Water Affairs Delegation exchanged views with many enterprises on flood control and water treatment technologies. In the flood control exhibition area, a modular portable flood control device attracted attention. It is made of lightweight composite materials and has the characteristic of rapid deployment, which can flexibly adapt to urban emergency flood control scenarios. In the water treatment technologies exhibited at the same time, ozone oxidation and new oxygen production processes have become the focus. The collaborative application of technologies can significantly reduce the dependence on chemical agents in the water treatment process, providing green solutions for drinking water safety and wastewater treatment.

In the afternoon of the 23rd, the Flangco Water Affairs Delegation participated in the special meeting of the 5th Global Water Security Seminar hosted by the Ministry of Water Resources of China and the World Water Council. The theme of the meeting was "Water and Biodiversity", and Vice Minister Chen Min attended the meeting and delivered a speech. The conference had in-depth exchanges on deepening cooperation between China and Singapore in water conservation, water and drought disaster prevention, water project technology innovation and other fields.

It is true that the development of the water affairs industry will stride forward in the direction of intelligence, greening, and integration. Southeast Asia is characterized by complex climate, scattered population, and water resource shortage, and the water supply model of Grundfos Enterprises in Singapore that adapts to local conditions has also benefited the Southeast Asian region a lot. The next day, the Flangco Delegation went to the Grundfos Singapore Factory for inspection, and the two sides had in-depth discussions on the water supply model, water treatment model, and energy conservation, consumption reduction and emission reduction in the Southeast Asian market.
