Fuzhou, a city with a thousand-year-old marine civilization, started overseas trade as early as the Han Dynasty and gained far-reaching fame in the Ming Dynasty due to Zheng He's seven voyages to the Western Seas. In the new era, Fuzhou has taken "beautiful waters" as its goal and promoted the comprehensive basin governance. The Minjiang River basin restoration and coastal zone corridor construction projects have achieved remarkable results. Donghu Lake and Dongjiang Lake have regained their ecological beauty, presenting a scene of "egrets dancing gracefully, clear waters and green banks". Here, every drop of water tells a story and carries the beautiful ecological vision of Fuzhou people for "harmony between humans and water".

However, with the acceleration of urbanization, the water supply systems of some older residential communities in Changle District, Fuzhou, are facing aging problems, making it difficult to fully meet the growing water demand of residents. Thus, reconstruction is extremely urgent.

1. Project Background

"Focusing on People's Livelihood, Launching Reconstruction"

"Previously, during peak water usage hours, the water flow on high floors was always very weak, and sometimes even cooking became a problem," recalled Aunt Li from Yangguang Garden Phase I. The rusting of cast iron pipelines and the disrepair of secondary water supply facilities not only affected water quality but also brought many troubles to residents' daily lives.

To solve these problems, Flangco Water Group participated in the project as a provider of overall secondary water supply solutions. The aim of this project is to comprehensively improve water supply quality, ensure safe and stable water supply, and enhance residents' water usage experience through intelligent and energy-saving reconstruction methods. The reconstruction covers 12 residential communities, including Yangguang Garden Phase I, Jinjiang Garden Phase I, and Jianwei Hangjian, benefiting thousands of households.

2. Project Implementation 

"Innovating and Promoting, Comprehensive Construction"

Before the implementation of the project, the technical team of Flangco Water conducted detailed on-site investigations and data collection in various communities. "They not only measured the size of the pipelines but also asked for our opinions and needs regarding water usage, which made us full of expectations for the reconstruction project," said Mr. Zhang, a resident.

Based on detailed data, Flangco Water carried out scientific and reasonable design and planning to ensure that the reconstruction plan meets actual needs. Meanwhile, the project team also strengthened the comprehensive supervision and management of the construction process to ensure that the project quality meets the expected goals.

3. Project Highlights

"Intelligent Control, Innovative Achievements"

Flangco Water innovatively introduced a modular prefabricated intelligent pump room solution - splitting the main body of the pump room into 8 standard modules and adopting efficient prefabricated technology, which shortened the construction period by 60% compared with the traditional one. The integrated intelligent pump room solution adopts intelligent management, realizing the synchronization of real-time display and data storage, with functions of fault alarm and equipment protection, and effectively saving energy and reducing consumption.

In addition, the pump room, through integrated design and shock absorption and noise reduction technologies, has greatly reduced the operating noise of the equipment, significantly improving the quality of residents' lives. "Now we can no longer hear the noise from the pump room at night, and we can sleep much more soundly," sighed Mr. Chen, a resident.

4. Project Significance

"Working for the Well-being of the People, Moisturizing Thousands of Households"

Flangco Water participated in the secondary water supply reconstruction project in Changle, Fujian with a high sense of service, building a safety protection network from "the source to the tap", allowing more residents to drink "assured water" and "happy water".
